Welcome to Rhino Review, the first in a series from the Wildlife Review Initiative, created and managed by the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation.
The aim of Rhino Review is to stimulate passion and curiosity about these amazing creatures among people all around the world. It is the go-to resource for up-to-date, credible and unbiased information on one of the most crucial conservation issues of our time.
Rhino Review tells the extraordinary story of African and Asian rhinos from the earliest of times through to the present. It deals with their evolution, their interaction with humans, their numbers and distribution, and the complex web of crime and greed behind the current, devastating poaching crisis. Rhino Review also sets out the arguments for and against in the heated debate about a legal trade in horn, and offers a roadmap that, if followed, will hopefully ensure that rhinos survive well into the future.
We hope that Rhino Review will prompt you to play your part, in whatever way you can, in loving and protecting these animals and the wild habitats they desperately need to survive.
